Turn notification categories on and off

Open the Profile tab and tap Notification Settings. There is a switch for each of the four categories — Area Alerts, Sharing Events, Meeting Point Changes and Map Collaboration — and one above them, All Notifications, which mutes everything below it. Child safety concern reports are always delivered whatever you set here.

A change takes effect for the next event; there is nothing to save and no confirmation.

If your phone had no connection when you changed something, the screen says so — Saved on this device, but not synced yet — these notifications may still arrive. Your choice is not lost, but until it reaches the server the old setting is what the server is still sending on, so a notification you have just switched off can still turn up once. Reopening the screen with a connection clears it.

If the screen instead says that this device is blocking notifications, the switches here are not the problem — notifications are blocked on this device is the page for that.
