Remove someone from a Group

Only the Group’s admin can remove somebody. Open the Group, find them in the member list, and use the remove control on their row; the app asks Remove Member, naming them, and you confirm with Remove.

They lose access to the Group at once. Any sharing session they had with it ends, so they stop being visible to the rest of you and you stop being visible to them. They are not told by the app that it happened, and there is no record of it in the Group.

Nothing stops them rejoining with a live Invite Code — and any member can hand one out, so if the point of the removal is that they should stay out, generate a new code afterwards. See invite someone to a Group.

Two refusals, both headed Can’t Remove Member: you are not the admin, or the person is no longer a member of the Group. An admin cannot remove themselves either — that is leave a Group, and if you are the admin it means handing the role over first.
