Download your data
You have a right to a copy of the personal data held about you, and to receive it in a form you can take elsewhere. This page is how FriendTrack answers that. It is a right in law, not a feature — so it does not depend on the app, and the route below the in-app one is always available.
In the app
- Open the Profile tab and tap Download my data.
- Read what the screen lists under WHAT IS IN THE FILE.
- Tap Prepare my file, then choose where to send it.
The file is built when you ask for it. No copy is kept on the server, and the one on your phone stays there until you next open that screen.
What is in it

It holds your data only. Other people in your Groups appear as an identifier, never as a name or a position — their data is theirs to ask for.
⚠️ Be careful where you send it
The file contains your phone number and where you have been. Anywhere you send it, it goes: a chat app, a cloud drive, a shared computer’s downloads folder. Think about the destination before you pick one, and delete it when you are done with it.
The route that does not depend on the app
You can exercise the same right by writing to privacy@friendtrack.net instead. That route exists permanently and on every version of the app, including if the in-app screen is missing from your build, if you cannot sign in, or if you no longer have the app at all.
Asking by mail takes longer than tapping the button, because your identity has to be established first — and it will not be established by an email that merely names a phone number, since anybody can type one. Expect to be asked to prove you hold the number.
What this is not
- It is not a way to see somebody else’s data. Nobody can request another person’s, including members of your own Groups.
- It is not a backup you can restore from. It is a readable copy for you to keep, not something the app can import.
- It does not delete anything. If that is what you want, it is delete your account — and exporting first is a good idea, because deletion is permanent.
