Leave a Group

Open the Groups tab, tap the Group, and use the leave control at the bottom of its screen. The app asks Leave Group and names the Group; confirm with Leave. Any sharing session you had with that Group ends with it, so you stop being visible to those people immediately.

Leaving is not reversible from your side: getting back in needs a fresh Invite Code from somebody still in the Group — see the invite code doesn’t work for why an old one will not do.

If you are the Group’s admin and other people are still in it, the app refuses, with Cannot Leave, and tells you to transfer admin to another member before leaving or to delete the group. That is not a bug to work around: somebody has to be able to remove a member and delete the Group, so the role can never be left vacant. Hand it over — who runs a Group — and then leave.

An admin who is the last member left can leave freely, and the Group goes with them.
