FriendTrack Terms of Use

Last updated: 30 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and TNS Holding ApS for using FriendTrack. They cover what the app does, what we ask of you, and — if you choose to buy it — how the FriendTrack Pro subscription works. How your data is handled is a separate document, the Privacy Policy, which should be read together with these terms.

Who you are agreeing with

FriendTrack is provided by TNS Holding ApS (CVR 26694264), Frederiksborggade 20B, 4. tv, 1360 København K, Denmark. You can reach us at support@friendtrack.net.

Using FriendTrack

FriendTrack lets you share your live location with Groups of people you choose, for a duration you choose, on maps of the places you visit together. You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code.

You need to be at least 13 years old to use FriendTrack. If you are under the age of digital consent where you live, you need your parent or guardian's permission.

What we ask of you

  • Share only your own location. Do not use FriendTrack to track someone without their knowledge, and do not install it on another person's phone to follow them.
  • Only add people who expect to be added. A Group invitation should never be a surprise.
  • Upload only maps and images you have the right to use, and nothing unlawful, hateful, or sexual.
  • Do not misuse the service — no attempts to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to it.

If you use FriendTrack in a way that harms someone else or breaks these terms, we may suspend or close your account. Concerns about someone's safety, including child safety, are covered by our child safety standards.

Location and safety

FriendTrack is a convenience, not a safety system. Location comes from your device's GPS and can be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable — indoors, underground, in poor weather, on a low battery, or when the operating system stops the app in the background. Never rely on FriendTrack in an emergency. Call the emergency services.

Your content

Maps, areas, names and images you create stay yours. You give us the permission we need to host and display them to the people you share them with, and to operate the service. When you make one of your Maps available to others — whether by publishing it or by sharing it with people you are in a Group with — you are confirming you have the right to do so. Published Maps are reviewed before they become publicly visible, and a published Map version cannot be edited afterwards; changes create a new version.

FriendTrack Pro

FriendTrack is free to use. The free plan lets you create one Map and one Group, and share your location in sessions of up to 8 hours. Joining someone else's Group and installing someone else's Map are always unlimited and always free — Pro never gates taking part.

FriendTrack Pro is an optional paid subscription that lifts those limits. With Pro you can create unlimited Maps, create unlimited Groups, share your location for as long as you want including until you stop, and invite collaborators to co-edit your Maps.

Price, trial and renewal

  • Pro is offered as a monthly or an annual subscription. New subscribers start with a 7-day free trial on either plan; the stores grant the trial once per store account, so it is not offered again on a later subscription.
  • The price that applies to you — in your currency, including any local tax — is shown in the app and again by the App Store or Google Play at the moment of purchase. The price the store shows you at purchase is the one that governs. At the time of writing the Danish prices are DKK 39 per month and DKK 249 per year.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the trial converts into a paid subscription.
  • Payment is taken by Apple or Google, not by us. Your subscription is tied to your App Store or Google Play account.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. Because the stores take the payment, refunds are handled through Apple and Google under their own policies. Tell us if something has gone wrong and we will help you sort it out.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for the subscription. Because you buy through the App Store or Google Play, they are the seller and that right is exercised through their refund process. Contact us if you have trouble with it and we will help.

If your subscription ends

We never delete your content because a subscription lapsed. If you stop paying and you have more Maps or Groups than the free plan allows, the extras become dormant — kept and visible, but no longer usable for new activity. The Map and the Group you used most recently stay active, and you can change which ones those are at most once every 30 days. Everything dormant is restored in full if you subscribe again.

A sharing session that is already running is not cut off mid-way, and an open-ended session is wound down with notice rather than stopped abruptly. If your payment fails, you keep Pro during the grace period the store gives you.

Price changes

If we change the subscription price, the store tells you in advance, and the new price only applies from a following renewal. Store rules require your consent for certain increases; if you do not accept, the subscription simply does not renew.

About the app and the stores

We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use FriendTrack on devices you own or control, in line with the usage rules of the store you installed it from. You may not sell, rent, or redistribute the app.

This agreement is between you and TNS Holding ApS — not with Apple or Google. They are not responsible for FriendTrack or its content. We alone are responsible for the app, for supporting and maintaining it, and for any claim that it is faulty, does not match its description, breaks a law, or infringes someone's intellectual property. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide support for it.

If FriendTrack fails to conform to any warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple may refund what you paid for the app; beyond that refund, Apple has no other warranty obligation to you. You also confirm you are not located in a country subject to a relevant embargo and are not on a prohibited-party list.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. This section does not reduce any right you have under mandatory consumer law.

Availability

We work to keep FriendTrack running, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. We may change, suspend, or stop features. If we discontinue the service, or a paid feature you subscribe to, we will give you reasonable notice — and you may cancel and seek a refund for any part of a period you have paid for but can no longer use.

Closing your account

You can delete your account in the app at any time. Deleting the account removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting the app alone does not cancel a subscription — cancel that in the App Store or Google Play.

Liability

We provide FriendTrack with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot promise it will be free of faults. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss, for loss caused by location data being delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable, or for what other people do with a location you chose to share with them.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer protection law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights apply in full and are not affected by these terms.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version is published at this address with an updated date above. That date is how you can tell a revision has happened, so check back here for the current version.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring a claim in your own country's courts.

Please contact us first — most things are quickest to fix directly. If we cannot resolve a complaint, consumers in Denmark can take it to Center for Klageløsning / Forbrugerklagenævnet (naevneneshus.dk).
