Build a map with your AI

You don't have to place every anchor point by hand. Bring your own AI assistant โ€” Claude, ChatGPT, or any capable LLM โ€” and let it build the map for you through the FriendTrack API. You stay in control the whole way: the assistant asks before it acts, and it can only do map work on your behalf. Nothing else on your account is reachable.

๐Ÿ“‹ Copy this to your AI

Paste this into a fresh chat with your assistant, then fill in the last line with the venue you want. It points the assistant at the FriendTrack guide and tells it how the one-time code works.

You are going to build a FriendTrack map for me.

FriendTrack is a location-sharing app whose maps are custom venue images pinned to real-world GPS. A complete guide written for you lives at https://api.friendtrack.net/llms.txt — fetch it, read it top to bottom, and follow it end to end. It has the API base URL, the sign-in handshake, and the full step-by-step recipe: create the map, add anchor points, verify the calibration, and draw the areas of interest.

A few things to know before you start:
- Sign-in is a one-time SMS code, not a password. When you reach the auth step, tell me and I'll read you the 6-digit code that FriendTrack texts to my phone. You only ever need one code.
- Verify that code using the "map-agent" surface, exactly as the guide describes. The key you get back is maps-only and lasts about 24 hours.
- Use only a geometrically faithful base image — see the guide's image-source section. Check with me before using any image.

The map I want you to build: [describe your venue here — e.g. "an evening map of the Ischgl town centre" — and attach or link the image if you already have one].

Start by fetching the guide, then walk me through it.

๐Ÿ”’ About the SMS code you'll relay

When the assistant reaches the sign-in step, FriendTrack texts a 6-digit code to your phone and the assistant asks you to read it back. That's the only code you'll need for the whole build.

Relaying that code hands the assistant a 24-hour, maps-only key. With it, the assistant can create and edit your maps โ€” and nothing else:

  • It cannot see your contacts, groups, or friends.
  • It cannot see anyone's live location.
  • It cannot change your account or sign in anywhere else.
  • The key expires on its own after about 24 hours โ€” there is no renewal.

Still, treat the code like any sign-in code: only read it out to an assistant you trust, and only while you're actually building a map.

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ How it works

  1. Open a fresh chat with your assistant and paste the prompt above, describing the venue you want.
  2. The assistant reads the FriendTrack guide at api.friendtrack.net/llms.txt and follows it end to end.
  3. When it asks, read back the one 6-digit SMS code FriendTrack sends to your phone.
  4. It uploads your image, calibrates it with anchor points, and draws the areas of interest.
  5. The finished map shows up in your Maps list, ready to review or publish.
